I will be speaking at SQL Saturday #173 in Washington DC at the Microsoft MTC in Chevy Chase, MD, to speak on one of my favorite topics – Virtualizing Your Business-Critical SQL Servers at 10:15am in Room 2. Here is the abstract:
Everyone knows that SQL Server can be virtualized, but most are only virtualizing development and testing environments. Top-tier production workloads can be virtualized too, and David Klee (@kleegeek) will provide valuable insight into how to properly prepare for and implement a successful virtualization campaign for ALL of your SQL Server environments and prepare your organization for the change. Practical tips, tricks, and gotcha’s will be discussed in this dynamic dialog session.
This is my seventh (and unfortunately last) SQL Saturday of 2012, and always happy to give back to the community that as helped me so much over the years. I cannot wait to see everyone, and then I cannot wait to get started on the 2013 speaking season soon! As I always say, I cannot endorse these events highly enough. You have the best speakers in the world (and then me) sharing information at free events. All you have to do is donate your Saturday to the cause of growing as an IT professional.
I will see you there!
