SQL Server and Technical Community Links

I love sharing the wealth of knowledge of the technical communities that I am a part of. The treasure trove of people and sense of global community with the willingness to share what they know is part of why I do what I do each day. Come learn with all of us!

Microsoft Data Platform Continuity Virtual Group

As a data platform professional, you should be prepared for the worst! Rick Lowe, Chris Lumnah, and myself run the newly formed Microsoft Data Platform Continuity Virtual Group. We focus on business continuity, backup and restoration, high availability, and disaster recovery strategies for your Microsoft Data Platforms! Come register for our Meetup group and let us know what you’d like to see presented!

Microsoft Tech Community

Microsoft is graciously hosting the Data Platform Continuity Virtual Group under the Tech Community initiative. Check out all of the events that Microsoft is supporting here!

Following the dissolution of the PASS organization in November 2020, Red Gate stepped up and acquired the assets. PASS is planning a Data Community Summit for the week of November 8, 2021, to be held online and is free. More details are found atpassdatacommunitysummit.com.

SQL Saturday

Following the PASS dissolution, the SQL Saturday event series was broken off to its own organization, the SQL Saturday Incorporated company. Events are starting to be reformed, and you can see the full list at sqlsaturday.com.

The EightKB virtual conference and podcast series is a great place for 400-level technical content related to SQL Server.
